Shanna Delucien, MS

Shanna Delucien, MS is a Registered Psychological Assistant (PSB94023797) under the supervision of Dr. Lydiana Garcia (PSY24888). She graduated on June 25, 2018 with a PsyD in Applied Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles; she is awaiting for her degree to be conferred soon.

She was born and raised in the Big Apple, New York State. She went to the University at Albany and obtained a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology with minor in Sociology. She continued her education at the Long Island University and received a Master degree in Mental Health Counseling.

She has experience working with individuals in various settings; inpatient psychiatric units helping clients stabilize to re-enter his/her daily life; with clients who presented with less acute symptoms in therapeutic offices, and in-home. Additionally, she has provided services in traditional and nontraditional ways through the lens of a mental health service provider including incorporating music, games, role-plays and in session and out of session activities.

Shanna has worked with children, adolescents, adults, geriatric and families. She has provided individual, group and family sessions. She also has experience administering, scoring and writing comprehensive psychological assessments reports.

Shanna’s previous clients reported that she is very warm, genuine, reliable, takes in consideration diversity factors, is trustworthy and likes to work from a collaborative perspective. She is passionate about helping her clients feel more at ease, seeing them progress, and seeing them grow.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with loved ones as she connect back to her Haitian roots through her family and friends by using food, music dance, and the rich language of Haitian Creole.

Damaris Galarza, Psy.D

Damaris Galarza, Psy.D is a Registered Psychological Assistant (PSB94024426) under the supervision of Dr. Lydiana Garcia (PSY24888). She graduated on December, 2017 with a PsyD in Clinical Forensic Psychology from Alliant International University in San Francisco.

She was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She attended the Inter American University of Puerto Rico and obtained a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology. She continued her education at Alliant International University and received a Master degree in Clinical Forensic Psychology.

She has experience working with individuals in various settings such as: inpatient Correctional facilities helping inmates stabilize after a crisis intervention; Drug rehabilitation programs and outpatient sex offender treatment programs. She provides services using Cognitive behavioral therapy by helping clients identify, modify and/or restructure negative thinking.

Dr. Galarza has worked with children, adolescents, adults and geriatric population. She has provided individual and group sessions. She also has experience administering, scoring and writing comprehensive psychological assessments reports.

Dr. Galarza’s previous clients reported that she is empathetic, genuine, reliable, trustworthy and dedicated. She is passionate about helping her clients overcome difficult situations and lead more mindful lives.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, surrounding herself with nature and exploring her surroundings, and sharing with others her Puerto Rican culture and traditions.
